ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are now recruiting for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the Business and take up the role of Land and Estates Manager for the Mick George Group.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following;

  • Assume responsibility for Managing the Group’s large estate of quarry, landfill and transfer station sites
  • Own and manage land owner relationships
  • Be responsible for royalty, certain rent and adhering to leasehold obligations
  • Developing new land owner relationships and finding new sites
  • Developing a referral network channel of land agents and land owners
  • Responsible for ensuring site operations align with Company expectations and site requirements
  • Supporting planning and permitting departments at appropriate times
  • Monthly Reporting on all sites
  • Dealing with Lawyers and other professional agents as required – New Leases, extensions, etc
  • Maintain compliance reporting

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a senior Estates Management/Surveyor role or similar, preferably in a mineral and/or landfill environment
  • BSc Hons Degree in Estate Management or similar qualification
  • Membership of the RICS preferred
  • Experience in managing costs and budgeting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships between the company and land owners/agents
  • Ability to influence and negotiate on all levels
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Experienced in operating at Board level
